When Activision first teased the different divisions in Call Of Duty WWII, many fans (us included) were wondering just what the heck the Mountain Division would be. Well turns out it is one of the more “specialist” kind of divisions in the game and today we are taking a closer look at it.

The best way to describe the Mountain Division in Call Of Duty WWII is as the snipers of the Call Of Duty WWII. Sniper is always a kind of harder class to play in Call Of Duty, it is not the kind of class that anyone can just play and in most cases, it does require a fair bit of discipline to play. But for those that stick with it and have the eye of the tiger when it comes to sniping. Having a sniper on a team in Call Of Duty WWII is an asset that cannot be overstated.

Playing as the Mountain Division is Call Of Duty WWII has a very high risk and reward kind of thing going. There is an aim assist that makes getting perfect shots that little bit easier, but the reloading of the different sniper rifles you have at your disposal is very, very slow, so you better make sure you hit your target. So with the great power comes a fairly steep learning curve, but it is so much fun once you master it. Secondary weapons like Colt 1911 and the M712 can come in very handy if another player tries to get in close to take you down from your nice camping spot.

When playing as the Mountain Division, you need to stick with it, it can be frustrating at first, but a good sniper is hard to find in the world of Call Of Duty WWII.

How Good Are The New Call Of Duty WW2 Dlc Resistance Maps
How Good Are The New Call Of Duty WW2 Resistance Maps?

So like most of you fellow PlayStation 4 Call Of Duty WW2 players, I have spent the last day playing The Resistance, the first DLC pack. This will be available on Xbox One in the coming weeks so do not worry. While I am far from an expert on these new maps just yet (and I probably never will be) I wanted to share my early thoughts on them.

Anthropoid: This map is set in Prague and I really like the style. Out of the three maps, I feel this one looks the best. It is a pretty open map, but there are a few indoor sections and alleyways, which you can use by the way to lure enemies into an ambush. I think that this is the best map out of the three and so far the one that I have managed to have the best matches in.

Occupation: I did not get as much time to play this map as the others as I struggled to get into a game here. I think that this map is more about balls to the wall action. The matches I played here offered no strategies and were just a full on war! It was a lot of fun and while I only have played a couple matches here so far, I did have fun and how creepy is that butcher shop????

Valkyrie: This appears to be the map that most people like best and I can see why. The war torn surroundings look great and I like how there are so many different rooms and buildings that you can duck into. If you are the kind of Call Of Duty WWII player who loves to use the map to their advantage and have a bit of strategy, you are going to have a lot of fun with this map.

So far these new maps are a great addition to COD WWII and really do make the Call Of Duty WWII Resistance DLC feel like you are getting a lot of value for your money.

Will Call Of Duty 2018 Bring Back Boost Jumping & Wall Running
Will Call Of Duty 2018 Bring Back Boost Jumping & Wall Running

While I am having a great time with Call Of Duty WW2 and I have actually gotten used to no longer being able to double/boost jump or run along walls. I must admit that with the next Call Of Duty game, the heavily rumored, Black Ops 4 being set in a more modern time. I am actually quite hopeful that the folks at Treyarch may bring back wall running.

The slower more methodical pace of Call Of Duty WW2 is a very nice change of pace and apart from the limits on how long you can run, I have not actually heard anyone complain about it. However, with wall running being in the last Black Ops game, I do have a feeling that this may be something that Treyarch want to keep in. I have felt that their COD games are always a little more fast paced, with an emphasis on run and gun and that is cool with me.

Being able to boost in Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare was actually something that I thought was pretty cool. It was always pretty cool being able to run along the wall, boost jump and then shoot someone. While I have a strong feeling that wall running will return in the next COD game. If the rumors are true that the next game is set in a modern setting and is a “boots on the ground” type game that we have heard so much about. I do not think that boost jumping will be part of it.

I would love to know if you guys would like to see wall running or boost jumping return in Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 or whatever this year’s game is going to be called.
