The Best PS4 Mod Controller On The Market

The Best PS4 Mod Controller On The Market

The good folks at ModsRus, hooked me up with one of their fantastic 10,000 mode PlayStation 4 Modded Controller and I have been putting it through its paces this last week.

The 10,000 Mode Mod PS4 Controller that they have here can be purchased in a few different colors. I got the blue one, but they all look neat. I play a lot of first person shooters, but it was mainly with Call Of Duty, Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare.

To start with the mod that I got the most out of was drop shot. The idea here is that when you shoot, your guy drops to the floor. I have tried this tactic without the mod and I always screw it up. Having it already mapped to the controller though was awesome. Quick scope and fast reload were another two of the mods that were of a great help to me and I have to admit that during a game of Team Deathmatch in Infinite Warfare I was on fire, just taking other players down left and right.

There are a ton more different mods on this controller and turning them on and off could not be any easier. Also, you can even just use this as a regular old controller which is a nice touch.

If you are a PS4 gamer, I can promise you that you will have a ton of fun with this and if you are looking or the edge in your first person shooters then you will struggle to top this. Also be sure to ask the folks at Mods “R” Us any questions you have as they are awesome dudes and very helpful.

How Do Modded Controllers Work

How Do Modded Controllers Work?

This is a question we hear quite a lot. Now some people will probably not care about how our modded controllers work as long as they just work and they are helping them kick some serious butt in their favorite first person shooter. But for those who are at the very least a little bit interested in how these work. We are going to give you a little bit of info about how the magic of ModsRus modded controllers work!

The way that the mods work on our controllers is pretty simple. There is a super special button on the underside of the controllers. What is this button? Well, that is the mod button and this is pretty much all you need to turn on and off the various different mods. It is very easy to use. You press the button in conjunction with another button on the controller to turn one of the awesome mods on. It honestly is that simple.

We will give you all of the easy to follow information about what each button combination is and how to activate each and every mod so do not worry. It is that simple, most people after they have used the controllers for a short while will know their favorite mod off by heart and not even need to read how to activate it.

So there you have it, a modded controller really could not be any easier to activate and we are sure you will get the hang of it after just a few minutes!

Could Modern Warfare Take Away Two Popular Features

Could Modern Warfare Take Away Two Popular Features

There is a site called Gaming Intel that is known for being pretty good when it comes to “leaks” well they have been getting a lot of buzz on social media in regards to what they have said about Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. Which by the way has not actually been confirmed, but it is certainly looking likely?

Anyway, Gaming Intel is saying that two massive modes will not be in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. The first one is Zombies! How can you release a Call of Duty without Zombies? Instead, they say that the idea is that there will be a mode similar to Survival which was in Modern Warfare 3 and just used regular soldiers. I have to admit, I would be pretty bummed out if this turned out to be true.

The other thing that they claim is that there will be no Battle Royale mode in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. Given how huge Blackout mode has been, I have a hard time imagining that Activision will be cool with this. Again, these are not confirmed at this point and I have to be honest and say that I do hope that these are two leaks that turn out to be false.

To be fair from what I have read the folks at Gaming Intel are usually quite good when it comes to this kind of stuff. So, I cannot imagine they would have posted it had there not been at least some kind of proof.

Respawn Addresses Apex Legends Battle Pass Criticisms

Respawn Addresses Apex Legends Battle Pass Criticisms

Unless you live under a rock you will have noticed that Apex Legends dropped its Battle Pass along with a new character this week. I actually purchased both, but I have to admit that I have not exactly found myself going all out trying to get through the Battle Pass.

Do not get me wrong, this week I have still played more than a few games of Apex Legends, mainly because I am having fun with Octane who feels like he was taken right out of the Titanfall series.

While I would not say that the Battle Pass flat out sucks like some people are saying. Respawn actually have come out and gave us their reasoning for their first Battle Pass and it does make a lot of sense.

They wanted it to be a logical progression and a way for players, even if they have been with Apex Legends since day one. To really learn all of the mechanics and at least get an understanding of all of the characters. That is why there is nothing too crazy for players to do. I think this is actually a really smart idea and it is a good teaching tool.

However, to play devils advocate if that was their intention with this first-ever Battle Pass, could they not have given it away for free? As I said, I actually purchased the Battle Pass, but it is not exactly blowing me away or making me want to get all of the stuff that it has.

Octane, on the other hand, is pretty awesome and is fast becoming one of my favorite characters to play as in the game.

Shamrock and Awe Hits Black Ops 4

Shamrock and Awe Hits Black Ops 4

Call of Duty is back with another fun event, Shamrock, and Awe and it is fantastic. You can clearly tell the guys and gals at Treyarch had a lot of fun with this one. I love how over the top they are with the Irishness of it all.

We have talked before about how there is a new Hardcore Mode being added to Blackout as part of this event, but that is not the only thing that is happening to Blackout. If you play Blackout during the Shamrock and Awe event you will notice it is like you are on the Emerald Isles themselves.

There is a lot more color around the map, letting us know that springtime is here, but that is not what I am getting a kick out of. I am getting a kick out of the fact that there is a leprechaun and pots of gold to be discovered!

As you would expect finding these will give you some nice bonuses. From what I can tell there are pots of gold hidden around the map for you to stumble across. Then there is the Homunculus who is dressed up like a leprechaun! You want to find him and take him down before other players get the chance to. I have not even come close to doing this yet, but I have had fun trying.

As you would expect, many other things have been added to the Shamrock and Awe Call of Duty Black Ops 4 event. These range from new weapons, vehicles and that new game mode we have talked about before, Stockpile.

I know that Apex Legends and Overwatch will be getting a lot of attention this week, but I would strongly advise you to take advantage of this fun event while it is here.

Call of Duty Mobile Is on The Way

Call of Duty Mobile Is on The Way

You know I am actually surprised that it has taken this long for Activision to get serious about bringing the full Call of Duty experience to mobile phones. Games like PUBG and Fortnite have shown that mobile devices are now powerful enough to give a similar experience to what you get at home and with some clever programming they can play pretty well too.

Call of Duty Mobile is going to be something of a greatest hits of the Call of Duty series. It has been revealed that it will feature maps, weapons and so on from the Modern Warfare and the Black Ops series of games which are the most popular from the COD franchise.

Team Deathmatch, Search & Destroy and Free for All are confirmed modes, but there are also some rumors that say Battle Royale and some kind of co-op are also going to be part of Call of Duty Mobile.

Some classic maps have been revealed as being part of the game these are Nuketown, Hijacked and Crash. It is going to be interesting to see how all of this plays out and what the pricing structure for Call of Duty Mobile is. I would assume that the base game will be free and give you a few maps, maybe a couple of game modes and so on.

If Activision gets this right and are not too greedy, they could have a major cash goldmine on their hands with Call of Duty Mobile. Of course, this is Activision we are talking about so there is always the potential for them to be a little bit cash grabby. You can apply to be part of the beta which is happening this summer on the official site and it is well worth doing.

Cheat Codes + Modded Controllers

Cheat Codes

For quite some time now, most of the video games that come out on the market are with built in cheat codes, or if we can make an even bolder step, all of the games have different cheat codes that allow the player character do something that can be considered out of the ordinary.

They are generally meant to give an edge to the player over the other opponents. As you can clearly see the concept of a modded controller is actually quite similar to cheat codes. Players who are just looking for a different and non linear gameplay often tend to go in for modded controllers which would enable them to multiply their capacities.

Modded Controllers

The concept of modded controller is actually pretty old even though it managed to gain popularity only just over the last six years after the advent of the Xbox 360 and ps3 console into the market. Now that the new xbox one and ps4 is out on the market as well, people are already aware that they can have mod controllers and the demand for them is even higher.

Typically, these modded controllers are created in order to let you play the game you want the way you have always wanted it to the ultimate power. For example, in FPS games you can run faster, jump a lot higher, shoot faster overall perform actions a lot quicker and at last, but not least, shoot at an exceptional rate even with normal weapons, all thanks to the rapid fire controllers.

Rapid fire controller mods that give you the ability to convert semi automatic weapons into full automatics in the way they fire ammo at your enemies. Don’t you think that these mod controllers give you an edge over all of your opponents in the game?

Battlefield 5 Firestorm Details

Battlefield 5 Firestorm Details

The trailer for the Battlefield 5 Battle Royale mode, Firestorm has been floating around for the last few days and I have been soaking it all in. I am very impressed with what I have seen and I really like the fact that it appears the folks at Dice have put their own spin on the Battle Royale genre rather than just doing what everyone else is doing.

The first thing to note is the name, Firestorm. It is called this because the “circle” that is closing in on you is an actual ring of fire! That is pretty awesome and I am sure when you are in the heat of battle (no pun intended) that the sight of fire coming in is going to make things extra tense.

It is going to be based around 64 players and there are 16 squads in each match. As well as trying to survive, Dice have also made sure some of that classic Battlefield teamwork comes into play. They have put in actual objectives that you need to do in the match. These are not a waste of time either as by doing these you will get the best loot and gear so there is certainly an incentive to do more than just hide and wait for the end.

It also appears that vehicles are going to play a big part in Battlefield 5 Firestorm. I love the idea of my squad being in a battle with another squad, but getting my hands on a tank and being able to do some major damage and turn the tide.

I am very impressed with what I have seen from Firestorm in Battlefield 5. I will be honest and say that I thought it was going to be rather underwhelming, but it looks like Dice are bringing the big guns for this mode.

It's Never To Late To Go Back To WW2

It's Never To Late To Go Back To WW2

I know that many of you guys like myself are all about playing Call of Duty Black Ops 4 right now. Especially given the big update that it got on PlayStation 4 last week Well I was out and about today and a store had Call of Duty WW2 for ten bucks on Xbox One and eight on PS4!

So, while I know that Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is that new hotness still, I still have a lot of love for Call of Duty WW2 and seeing about ten copies of each on that store shelf made me want to fire it up and play it again.

I said last year and I will say it right now, Call of Duty WW2 was a truly fantastic game and one that really stands out for the series in my opinion. My favorite mode was War Mode, adding some real objectives and having a little bit of story to it made that mode an absolute blast to play.

Then there is the campaign, I actually played about an hour of the campaign this afternoon and kind of forgot how well done it was. It was kind of like being in Saving Private Ryan! If what has been said is true about campaigns in the series going forward, Call of Duty WW2 may very well be the last original COD campaign we get!

I am not saying to ditch Black Ops 4 and go back to WW2. However, if you did get rid of it or uninstall it, fire it back up or go and buy it again and I am sure you will be amazed at how much fun that game still is. Also, I had no trouble at all finding a game, no matter what mode I tried.

Thoughts On Black Ops IIII Hardcore Mode

Thoughts On Black Ops IIII Hardcore Mode

I made a post yesterday about some exciting stuff that is hitting Call of Duty Black Ops IIII this week. Actually, it is already live on PlayStation 4 as I write this. I was actually lucky enough to be able to play the new Hardcore Mode at on Black Ops IIII on PS4.

What exactly is Hardcore Mode in Blackout? Well, the first thing is that it takes away the HUD. You may think, what is the big deal? But it actually makes a far bigger difference than you would think. Also gone are zombies, vehicles and armor. This puts everyone on the same level and it makes for a much harder experience.

I have found that people tend to hide a lot more in Hardcore Mode and with good reason too! You seem to die a heck of a lot quicker in this mode. The lack of vehicles makes things tense as well as you never want to be too far away from the center of the action as I am sure it is easy to end up in trouble and die by not being close enough.

So do I prefer Hardcore mode over the standard Blackout mode? I would have to say no. It is a fun distraction and worth checking out, but in all honesty, I like all that stuff that they took away. I can see why some people who want a more “hardcore” experience would like it, but when it eventually drops on Xbox One I really cannot see myself playing a whole lot of it if I am honest.

Baptiste Hits Overwatch On March 19th

Baptiste Hits Overwatch On March 19th

Overwatch really is the game that keeps on giving. I would go as far as to say that this is one of my all-time favorite first person shooters and it is a game I always come back to. A huge reason for this is that Blizzard keeps putting new characters maps and game modes into the game and they do all of this for free!

Baptiste is the 30th Overwatch hero and he is making the step up from the PC PTR and is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 19th of March. I have been loving the trailers and teasers that Blizzard have done for Baptiste and as you would expect from a new Overwatch hero he has a lot of backstory.

What is more exciting than the way he is designed and his motivations is the way that he plays. He has a cool gun that can shoot off three biotic grenades at a time, he can jump really high and he has some great abilities. One of these is the Regenerative Burst. This is kind of like Solider 76 healing abilitys. Except when activated it is literally a burst and players once hit will heal over time, even if they leave Baptiste’s side.

His Ultimate sounds really cool, The Amplification Matrix. This is a (shield) that he puts up and then anything that your team shoots through it has its effects doubled. This goes for attacks as well as healing.

I really cannot wait to get to play as Baptiste when he drops next week. From what I have seen from people on YouTube who have been playing as him on the PC. He looks like he is a lot of fun to play as. He can heal his teammates, but he can still kick some butt in his own right.

Halo Master Chief Is Back On PC

Halo Master Chief Is Back On PC

Halo The Master Chief Collection is finally coming to PC! This was something that I actually talked about last week as there were a lot of rumors floating around that Microsoft was going to announce this coming to PC sooner than later.

Well at an Xbox Live Stream. They announced what their plans for the PC version of Halo The Master Chief Collection are. While PC owners are getting the complete collection, it is not all coming at once.

Instead, Microsoft has said that they are rolling the games out in order. This sounds lame, but the idea is that they can do this so people can get them sooner rather than waiting for the porting to be done on them all. The first game is going to be Halo Reach…… that is not part of the Master Chief Collection, I can hear you say.

Well now it is and it is the first part of the collecting that is going to be released. If you are an Xbox One owner who has The Master Chief Collection. You can download the Halo Reach multiplayer for free, but you have to pay if you want the campaign. This is kind of lame if I am honest as I feel they could have thrown us a bone here. The campaign for Halo Reach is actually really cool.

There is no word on when the first part of The Master Chief Collection is going to drop on PC or even when Xbox One owners can get their hands on the Halo Reach multiplayer, but I would bet that it is going to be in the next few weeks.

New Game Mode Coming To Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII

New Game Mode Coming To Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII

As I write this it is a very exciting time for Call of Duty Black Ops IIII. There is a pretty big update coming that is going to introduce some new stuff and also, Treyarch has let it slip that they are having a special event for St Patrick’s Day which sounds pretty awesome.

The update which will be live by the time you read this on PlayStation 4 (as PS4 always gets new content first) features three main things. Hellcatraz is new gauntlet mode that is being added to Zombies. A Hardcore mode is being added to Blackout, which is taking away the HUD, armor, and vehicles and then there is Stockpile which is the new game mode I am excited about.

Call of Duty Black Ops IIII Stockpile is technically not a 100 percent new mode as it is a new take on the fracture mode from Black Ops III. The goal of the game is to deliver enemy dog tags to the drop off point and be the first team to get the required amount in order to win.

I have not heard all of the ins and outs of the mode just yet, but I like how in a mode like this you can get a few dog tags and go straight for the drop off point…. Or you can get cocky and see if you can get a whole bunch before you do. Of course, the challenge is if you die, you lose it all!

It is a mode that I had a lot of fun within Black Ops III so I am very interested to see how it will translate to some of the maps in Black Ops IIII. This update is happening as I write this (the 12 of March) on PS4 and I would assume that next week it will drop for Xbox One and PC players.

Battlefield 5 Has Leaked Its Battle Royale Mode

Battlefield 5 Has Leaked Its Battle Royale Mode

We all knew that there was a Battle Royale mode coming to Battlefield 5 and it was something that many fans were kind of mad has taken so long. Well thanks to a leak we at the very least know that this new mode is going to be called Firestorm

I use the term leak very loosely as I am sure that most of the time leaks like this happen on purpose. Still, the folks who are in charge of Dices social media platforms are being very hush on the whole thing.

As I write this not a whole lot about what Battlefield 5 Firestorm offers is known. However, rumors are high that an official trailer will be dropping later this week. We know that the game is going to be for 64 players and like in Blackout and Fortnite. The playing area is always going to be shrinking down, forcing players into a conflict for supplies and supremacy.

Firestorm is coming to Battlefield 5 later this March and it could be just what is needed to get more people into the game. At the very least it gives those of us who got the game when it was first released in 2019 a reason to get back into the game. I think this is a very interesting take on the Battlefield 5 formula and it is certainly going to be unlike anything that the series has had before.

I do feel that they should have gone above and beyond to get this out earlier in the year as now in addition to Blackout, Fortnite, and PUBG they also have Apex Legends to compete with which has really taken the world by storm.

Some Changes Are Coming To Apex Legends

Some Changes Are Coming To Apex Legends

It is no secret that I and many other people in the world have been having a great time with Apex Legends. As much fun as the game is though it is not perfect and to be fair that is understandable as it is a living and evolving game.

One thing that the folks at Re Spawn are hard at work on is hit boxes. I must be honest and say that this is something I did not even notice was an issue, but apparently, some of the larger characters like Gibraltar and Pathfinder have very strange hit boxes where you can shoot between their legs or off their shoulder and it will still register as a hit. This, of course, putting any player playing as them at a fairly big disadvantage.

From my understanding this fix is their top priority at the moment and we can expect it to happen later this week. Also hotly rumored to be happening later this week the 12th if you believe the rumors is the Apex Legends season 1 battle pass. I am now thinking though that maybe this could be pushed back if they want all hands on deck for these hit box changes.

From what I understand it is only the larger characters who are going to have their hit boxes altered. Again this is not something I have encountered, but I can see why for those who do know about it must be super frustrating to have a character you like to play as but be at a disadvantage for playing as him.

PS4 Players Should Not Sleep On Modern Warfare 2 Remastered

PS4 Players Should Not Sleep On Modern Warfare 2 Remastered

While I have already talked about how it is looking more and more likely that we are getting a Modern Warfare 2 Remaster as part of this years Call of Duty offering. As I write this, this month’s PlayStation Plus games are live and the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered is free!

I really cannot stress enough how much you guys need to download this. I remember when Infinite Warfare came out (a game I love by the way) and some stores were saying that if you bought Modern Warfare remastered you got Infinite Warfare for free. It was pretty funny stuff, but it also showed how high esteem some people held the original Modern Warfare.

I think that the Modern Warfare Remastered game is actually a very solid remaster. They actually did a great job on the visuals and while it does not have the polish of a modern COD game. I do feel that they did a great job of making it more smooth and easier on the eyes.

What really makes it stand out though is the campaign. If I am honest the campaign in Modern Warfare 2 feels more epic, but this one here is awesome. You really do feel that the whole world is counting on you and I always had a feeling of dread when I played through it on the Xbox 360 when it was first released and also when playing it again for the remaster.

If you did not pick this up with the special edition of Infinite Warfare and if you did not bother when it was released on its own, now is the time to check it out. I would go as far as to say that this is one of the best PlayStation Plus offerings of the year so far.

Rush Mode Rushes Into Battlefield 5 For A Limited Time

Rush Mode Rushes Into Battlefield 5 For A Limited Time

Just when I thought I was pretty much done with Battlefield V they manage to pull me back in. Battlefield 5 Chapter 2 Lightning Strikes is getting its last update and it looks to be a pretty cool one.

It is going to have a new event that is called Unstoppable Force and there will be two new weekly challenges added as well. For me, though the real big deal here is the inclusion of Rush mode. This is something many fans have been asking for. Back in the day I played the hell out of this mode in Bad Company 2 and then in Battlefield 3!

Rush is an objective based mode and it is so much fun. While it is cool that we are getting Rush mode in Battlefield 5. This is a mode that as of right now is not sticking around. As of right now, it is going to be sticking around until the 20th of March and both of the weekly challenges are going to be based around Rush mode.

This is really cool and I am certainly going to play as much of it as I can. I do though hope that if the mode proves to be popular enough that the folks at Dice decide to bring the mode into Battlefield 5 as a permanent fixture. In case you were wondering the first weekly challenge is going to run from the 7th to the 14th of March and then the other one the following week.

Please do not sleep on this as Rush mode is one of the best things to ever be part of the Battlefield series in my opinion.

Halo The Master Chief Collection Close PC Release

Halo The Master Chief Collection Close PC Release

While we know that the next game in the Halo series, Halo Infinite is coming to both Xbox One and PC. PC gamers have been waiting for what feels like forever for The Master Chief Collection to come out.

There was a leak that stated that Microsoft is not just working on making The Master Chief Collection happen on PC, but that it will be announced much sooner than you would think. I would say that the smart money is on this E3. Microsoft is clearly going to be showcasing Halo Infinite. Having Halo The Master Chief Collection on PC also be there and a stop gap before Halo Infinite is released would be a pretty good move.

If you have an Xbox One you simply must have The Master Chief Collection. It may be a real hog when it comes to taking up hard drive space, but man it is worth it. I think that it is one of the best deals in gaming this generation.

It features Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4. I have a feeling that the PC version though could have ODST and Reach. All four of those games are great, but the real star of this package is Halo 2. This is not just the original Xbox version. Halo 2 is actually fully remastered and it is one of the best remasters I have had the pleasure to play. It looks like a million bucks and they even made a few new cutscenes. Best of all like the remaster of Halo 1, you can change the graphics from the remastered ones to the original at the press of a button.

Halo The Master Chief Collection on PC is something PC gamers have been waiting ages for so it is great that it looks like it is happening sooner than later.

Team Deathmatch Playlist Disappears In Black Ops IIII

Team Deathmatch Playlist Disappears In Black Ops IIII

I am still having a lot of fun with Call of Duty Black Ops IIII. I will admit that I play the game on Xbox One so my experience with what is going on for PC gamers is actually limited at best. However, I have seen some pretty annoyed people on Twitter the last couple of days in regards to Treyarch removing a popular playlist from the PC version of the game.

The Team Deathmatch Playlist is no longer on the PC version of Black Ops IIII. This is very strange as how do you have a Call of Duty game without a quick and easy way to jump into some Team Deathmatch? Well, Team Deathmatch is actually still in the game, but it is in the Deathmatch Moshpit playlist.

It has been said that the player base for the PC version of Black Ops IIII is not as high as it is on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and many people were having to wait a very long time to play Team Deathmatch and this is a way for Treyarch to hide the fact the player base is not super huge….. I think that might be reading into things a little too much. However, at the same time why the heck would they take out such a classic and staple playlist of the series?

Clearly, the focus on this years (well last years) Call of Duty is Blackout mode and Blackout mode is awesome. I can though see why this has upset people. I like Blackout, but if I still have a spare half an hour to play, 99/100 it is a quick game of Team Deathmatch I want to jump into.

The Battlefield Series What Is Next Move

The Battlefield Series What Is Next?

It is more than fair to say that Battlefield V from a sales and critical point of view has been a major disappointment for the people at DICE and EA. While I have enjoyed the game quite a bit since I picked it up at launch last year. I must admit that unless the next event or DLC really packs a punch I think I could be over Battlefield V.

I do think that Battlefield V had some great ideas, but it just never caught on when it was launched. It was launched at the worst possible time, plus let’s not forget that it was actually missing a lot of content when it was first launched.

This has made me wonder what could be next for the long-running shooter franchise. For me, I really do think that they have to get away from World War II. This is something that has been done to death at this point and I think the setting (plus the fact COD WWII did it so well a year earlier) was what made people think Battlefield V was a game that they had seen before.

For the next Battlefield game to really capture peoples attention for me they have to get the setting right. At first, I was thinking they could go to the future as this is something that the series did so many years ago but I think it could work again. Then it hit me, Battlefield needs to go back to Vietnam.

This is one war that has not been done as much as others and I think that it could make for a very interesting game. They had a lot of success with their Vietnam game many, many years ago and I think they could do it again. They have proven they know how to tell a good story so I am sure the campaign would be very interesting.

No matter what, I can see EA giving the series a couple of years to breath before they make any major decisions on what to do with it.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remaster Looks More Likely

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remaster Looks More Likely

It is looking more and more likely that this year’s Call of Duty is going to be another installment in the Modern Warfare series. Another rumor though that has been floating around is that there will also be an HD remaster of the awesome Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 campaign released as well.

This rumor has gathered more steam thanks to a “leak” on the PlayStation 4. This month for PlayStation Plus subscribers actually sees them get the Modern Warfare remaster for free which is pretty cool. But that is not what has gotten me excited.

A PEGI rating (an age rating) has shown up form Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered on PS4. The rating has since been pulled down which is pretty interesting, but it was up long enough for images to make the rounds on social media.

I am all for this as the campaign in Modern Warfare 2 is one of my favorites of the entire series. Getting the chance to play this again, but with even better graphics (to be fair it actually holds up pretty well anyway) is something I am very excited for.

You have to wonder though if Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 will have another new campaign or if they are just classing this remaster of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign as the campaign for this year’s game. Another crackpot theory that I have is that they could actually release Modern Warfare 2 remastered before as just DLC. This could be a great way to drum up interest in Modern Warfare 4 before it is released later this year.

Cod Black Ops IIII Is Going Barebones

Cod Black Ops IIII Is Going Barebones

Now if you are a fan of Call of Duty Black Ops IIII you are already aware of the Operation Grand Heist event that is happening. It looks like it is going to be a ton of fun and I love how the folks at Treyarch are clearly having a lot of fun with it.

One thing that took me by surprise was the announcement of a new playlist that is going to be part of the Operation Grand Heist Call of Duty Black Ops IIII event. Actually, it was a buddy of mine who asked me what I thought about it and I had no clue it was even a thing!

Anyway, this new playlist is called Barebones and it is called that for a reason. Specialists will not be able to use any kind of special moves in this attack. I think that you can still pick your favorite, but they will just play as a regular character.

They have also said that this playlist is going to feature “classic gameplay” they have (as I write this) not gone into much detail about what they mean by classic gameplay, but it is something I am very interested to find more about. They have also not revealed when this Barebones Playlist is going to be added to Black Ops IIII.

Right now fans are speculating what gameplay changes could be made. Perhaps it is going to be something to do with the scorestreaks? Maybe they will let us pick what kind of older COD game we play? That would be awesome as I do actually miss the boost jump.

What Is Happening With Gears of War 5

What Is Happening With Gears of War 5

There are two series (well three if you count Forza) that make having an Xbox an essential purchase for me. Those are first of all, Halo and then Gears of War. I could not be any more invested in the lore of Gears of War.

It is kind of amazing when you think about it. On the surface Gears of War looks like a generic, over the top, macho, meathead shooter…… well it kind of is. However, the story is just so strong that you really do care about these characters. Dom’s death (sorry for the decade old spoiler) is still one of the most hard hitting things I have experienced in a game, it was brutal!

Gears of War 3 ended the story perfectly for me and I kind of did not want another game. Well, Gears of War 4 came and it was fantastic. The presentation was impeccable and it is one of the best looking games on the Xbox One. Amazingly though they introduced some new characters, but not at the expense of the old ones, they bridged the two incredibly well. It is very similar to what Star Wars episode 7 did.

Anyway, it feels like forever since we got that Gears of War 5 trailer and the information has been pretty much nonexistent since then! Gears of War 4 ended on a massive cliffhanger and I need to know what is happening. So far all we know for sure is that the game is, first of all, a direct sequel to Gears of War 4.

And we also know (well I think it is more of a hope) that Gears of War 5 will be released later in 2019. 2019 is still the date that is floating around and I really do hope that this makes it in time for the end of the year. I would assume that this is the big game Microsoft have in store for us this holiday season.

Overwatch's New Hero Is Baptiste

Overwatch's New Hero Is Baptiste

Overwatch really is the game that keeps on giving. They just dropped the full trailer for the brand new hero, Baptiste and as I write this if you are a PC Overwatch player you can test him out right now.

Baptiste has a really cool backstory in that he was a child who was made an orphan and homeless as a result of the Omnic Wars. He did what he had to do to survive including joining forces with the evil Talon. He grew up and realized this was wrong and that he could make the world a better place by doing the right thing. He really does sound quite heroic and I hope they explore his backstory in an event later this year.

As far as the way he plays, Baptiste is a support class character who is there to heal allies. While healing is his main thing he can also dish out some pretty good damage himself so I feel he could be a good character for people who are usually a little hesitant to play as a healer.

His special moves sound great and I have a feeling they might be a little too great. For example, his Regenerative Burst when activated releases a burst of energy that heals himself and nearby allies. What is cool about this is that once the burst hits a teammate they can then leave Baptiste's side and they will keep on being healed.

The Immortality Field is something I can see getting changed. This ability creates a force field that he and his teammates can be inside of. When inside this field it is impossible to die! It lasts around 8 seconds, but this could become very handy and in the right hands with a person who knows how to actually use it, this ability could be what decides many matches.

His Ultimate is the Amplification Matrix. When he puts this up anything that goes through it is doubled. This means things like D Vas rockets will do even more damage. Also, it doubles the effects of healing items too.

I think that he looks like he is going to be a really fun character to play as and hopefully, it will not be too long until he appears on Xbox One and Ps4.

Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII Addresses Loot Box Controversy

Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII Addresses Loot Box Controversy

Call of Duty Black Ops IIII sneaked in some loot boxes recently in the form of their Reserve Crates. It was seen as a bit of a sleazy move by some and Treyarch were quick to point out that this was a “business decision” and something they had very little to do with. Hey, it is Activision so we should not have been shocked!

Anyway due to the huge negative outcry they went and made the way you get Reserve Crates a lot easier. The rate at which you can earn them has been slashed in half. It had been reported that you could have to play as much as two hours just to get one! Now though that has supposedly been cut in half.

Also before once, you got to level 100 in the Contraband Battle Pass System, you were out of luck as far as Reserve Crates went. Now though, you can keep earning them as you play. These are not groundbreaking, nor do they deserve a high five, a Pepsi and a Sub for doing this. However, at least they were quick to change once word got out that fans were not happy.

I think that Black Ops IIII is a great game, but even with these changes, their Reserve Crates are not something that I am going all out for. If I earn them as I play then so be it, but they will not get a single penny out of me for these and I hope that many other gamers act with their wallets too.
