Will There Be Another Call Of Duty WWII Event

Will There Be Another Call Of Duty WWII Event In 2018

I think that Sledgehammer Games have done a wonderful job in supporting Call Of Duty WWII over the last year. With three DLC packs that gave us a ton of great content and five different events that have all been fun. I think that they have done a great job in not just keeping the game interesting, but also making tweaks to the gameplay to make sure it is great.

With Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII getting closer and closer, you have to wonder if Activision is going to want to keep on promoting Call Of Duty WWII this close to the release. Now granted Call Of Duty games are usually supported for a very long time after release, but I have to think that with Black Ops IIII, Activision is going all in. I say this as this is the first Call Of Duty game not to have a proper single player campaign, but it is also the first to have a Battle Royale mode.

In addition to this, Activision has a ton of competition this October. The main ones, of course, being Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2, but October also sees other major game releases such as Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Soul Calibur VI and WWE 2K19 to name a few. You may wonder what those last three games have to do with a shooter like Black Ops IIII, but these are popular games and most people only have so much money to spend on games so maybe someone will think “ I am going to get WWE 2K19 this October and get Black Ops IIII later” this is bound to happen with some people!

I really hope that we do get at least one more event before Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII is released, but at the same time, I would not be surprised if Activision decided that they wanted Call Of Duty WWII to quiet down a little bit. It would be pretty cool if they decided to throw us a bone by bringing back some of the game modes that were part of the events in the run-up to Black Ops IIII to keep us loyal Call Of Duty WWII fans happy.

Cool New Weapons For Black Ops IIII Beta

Cool New Weapons For Black Ops IIII Beta

The Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII beta is getting real close. To get people excited the Call Of Duty Twitter page has posted a few videos that show off some of the new guns that we get to have some fun with during the beta.

VAPR-XKG Assault Rifle

Out of the three weapons that were shown the VAPR-XKG assault rifle is the one that appealed to me the most. I like a weapon that allows quick and fast paced gameplay and that appears to be what the VAPR-XKG assault rifle in Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII is all about. Interestingly the tweet also says that it offers “balanced weaponry” so it will be interesting to see what that means.

MX9 SMG

Of course, if you have played a Call Of Duty game before you are very familiar with all kinds of SMG’s. Well the MX9 SMG has a really cool design and is the kind of weapon that I like to use. The video that they posted on Twitter showed a run and gun style gameplay so I am sure this is going to be a very popular weapon in the beta.

Swordfish Tactical Rifle

The Swordfish tactical rifle is all about long range shooting. While I am not a sniper in Call Of Duty games I do appreciate the art style of this gun. Also, the tweet that showed off this rife says that this offers “a 4-round burst forward” so if you can quickly fire off four shots while scoped I might actually be able to use this!

I would love to know what of the three guns you are most excited to try out in the Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII beta in the comments section below.

No Kill Switch For Battlefield V Cosmetics

No Kill Switch For Battlefield V Cosmetics

One of the thing about tinkering with your character in a team based game is that it can sometimes make it hard for your team to see you, the enemy to know if you are on their team and also it can be hard for opposing players to know what kind of loadout they are coming up against.

In all honesty the load out one is not a big deal at all, but the other two are valid points. So much so that some gamers had wondered if DICE would make it so you could turn off cosmetics in the game so everyone looks the same!

Ryan McArthur who is one of the producers working on Battlefield V addressed this and it was him who used the term “kill switch”. He said that DICE has no plans at all to disable cosmetics in Battlefield V. He says that he understands why some people would want this from a competitive point of view. However, at the same time, he thinks that players who have worked hard to get some cool looking gear should be able to show it off.

I for one have never once even thought about players with different skins, weapons and so on being not allowed to display them. To me, this is part of what a multiplayer first person shooter is all about. Sometimes it can be hard at a quick glance to distinguish friend from foe, but overall I like it when I see someone decked out in cool gear. It makes things more interesting and it also gives me something to aspire to.

Will Black Ops IIII Destroy Battlefield V And Red Dead Redemption 2

Will Black Ops IIII Destroy Battlefield V And Red Dead Redemption 2

I do not know if you are aware of this, but October 2018 is one of the biggest months for video game releases in history! I honestly cannot think of another month that has had so many huge releases coming out all around the same time.

Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII, Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are clearly the big hitters. However, Assassins Creed Odyssey, WWE 2K19, Super Mario Party, Soul Caliber 6, Mega Man 11, Lego DC Super Villains and Just Dance 2019 are also out around the same time. Not to mention there are other releases as well! It is crazy that all these game companies are willing to take this gamble of releasing in such a stacked month.

An industry analyst group called Michael J. Olson and Yung Kim has come out with some pretty interesting predictions. They are predicting that while all three games will sell millions and millions of copies. Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII will sell considerably more copies than both Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

They put Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII at 21.5 million copies sold by the end of the year. Battlefield V at 16 million copies and Red Dead Redemption 2 at 15.5 million copies. So while they are predicting Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII will sell far more copies, it is not like the folks at DICE and Rockstar are going to be hurting for money.

The big question here is how are all those other releases going to be able to compete with these three games? I have a feeling that some of those titles are going to be on mega clearance as the year comes to an end. I also think that it is not just the fact that Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII is introducing a Battle Royale mode that is making it so popular and anticipated. Call Of Duty WWII is a fantastic game so people are feeling really good about everything Call Of Duty right now.

Specialists And Score Streaks In Black Ops 4

Specialists And Score Streaks In Black Ops 4

There has not really been any groundbreaking Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 news the last few days. This is most likely because the folks at Treyarch and Activision are getting ready for the upcoming betas. Well, I have been thinking about the specialists and scorestreaks in Black Ops 4 and what they could be.

Specialists

I like to think of specialists as kind of like Call Of Duty’s version of Overwatch heroes or Rainbow Six Sieges operators. Each specialist will have their own finishing move and of course, the weapon systems that each one will have will be kind of unique and fit in with the style of the character. I am looking forward to finding what one suits me best and also playing around with them as no doubt there will be plenty of customization options. One of the coolest sounding things is that all of the guns are now going to have their own kind of attachments so all shotguns will not just have the same attachments. Each one will be different.

Score Streaks

I think by this point score streaks are a legal requirement of Call Of Duty. There is going to be score steaks in Call Of Duty Black Ops 4. What the different bonuses in regards to offensive and defensive abilities are I am not sure just yet, but this is bound to be revealed in the coming weeks. Scorestreaks are always a lot of fun and I find that they add a little more excitement and drama to multiplayer.

Top Level Rewards Coming To Call Of Duty WWII

Top Level Rewards Coming To Call Of Duty WWII

If you have already reached the Master Prestige rank in Call Of Duty WWII and have been wondering where your recognition and special rewards are it looks like you will not have to wait much longer.

Once you reach Master Prestige you then have to make the long trip to a further 1000 levels! You do this and that character will be well and truly maxed out. Sledgehammer Games have not given any exact details, but they have said that there will be rewards for hitting certain milestones on the road to 1000. I would assume that there will be some kind of reward every 50 or 100 levels.

So what if you get deep in the mud and make it all the way to 1000? Well, Sledgehammer Games did actually show off some of the gear that is up for grabs. If you have seen the Royalty Gear that was in Advanced Warfare that is a good description of what the Call Of Duty WWII Master Prestige Gear looks like. I think it looks pretty cool, but in all honesty, I have no chance in hell of getting it!

While getting this Master Prestige rewards is pretty cool you have to wonder if this is too late? Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII is nearly here so you have to wonder if players are going to bother sticking with Call Of Duty WWII to max out a character and get that elusive loot. This is surely something that is only for the most dedicated and hardcore of Call Of Duty WWII players.

Only Cosmetics Available For Purchase In Battlefield V

Only Cosmetics Available For Purchase In Battlefield V

DICE recently held an AMA on Reddit where they shared some pretty interesting information about the upcoming Battlefield V that is released this October.

The most notable thing for me was the talk of monetization in Battlefield V. They flat out said that there will be monetization in Battlefield V, but that it will only be for cosmetics. I think that this is great news. In all honesty after the nightmare that DICE and EA had on their hands with Star Wars Battlefront II I am not surprised at all to see this more gentle stance on asking gamers for money!

The Tides Of War is the liver service that Battlefield V is going to be offering and many people, myself included are excited by this as DICE are saying all the right things. Each month from the sounds of it we will get a new narrative for the multiplayer and you will be either playing as the Allied or the Axis. They said during this AMA that there would be limited time events that would have gameplay twists, modes, and cosmetics. It sounds very similar to what Call Of Duty do with their community events only Tides Of War is going to be always running.

The more I hear about Battlefield V the more it sounds like EA are trying to right the wrongs that they attempted to do with Star Wars Battlefront II. Hopefully, Battlefield V is not going to get lost in the shuffle this October as there is a lot of big titles all coming out within a few weeks of each other.

Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII Mystery Box Edition Revealed

Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII Mystery Box Edition Revealed

If you have already pre-ordered your copy of Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII you may want to reconsider as Activision have announced a super special edition called the Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII Mystery Box Edition and this thing is spectacular!

It is currently listed for 200 bucks and what I love about this special edition is that you get a good mix of physical and digital content. The physical content is just fantastic, for starters you get an actual Zombies Mystery Box which would look cool in any game room.

You also get some pins or as Activision are calling them fig pins which are pins of the Zombies characters. There is also a comic book from the guys at Dark horse which has an exclusive cover and apart from the Zombies Box is the thing I am most interested in.

A zombies puzzle, special edition lithographs, patches and of course the game itself and a steel book case are also included. I think for 200 bucks you are getting a lot of good stuff here and for collectors who love their physical items, this is one of the best collectors editions for a Call Of Duty game in years.

The only thing that is raising my eyebrows is that it says it has “additional digital content for Black Ops IIII fans” but it does not actually say what the heck this is! Is it the Black Ops Pass? I do not think it is, but I would like them to actually come out and say exactly what this is.

I know that collectors editions are not for everyone. But I do feel that the Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Mystery Box Edition is giving you a lot of value for your money.

New Call Of Duty WWII Update Fixes Annoying Bugs

New Call Of Duty WWII Update Fixes Annoying Bugs

Call Of Duty WWII was a huge success. Even the base version you bought on launch day was great. If you just bought that and never got any of the DLC, you got a great game. Part of what has made it so good is the way Sledgehammer Games keep updating it to fix bugs and make sure it runs as smooth as possible. Well out of nowhere a couple of new fixes have happened.

The fixes are multiplayer based. One that was not game breaking, but super annoying was when the green star would pop up to let you know of a new item and it would not go away. This has been fixed as has Weekly Orders not being tracked properly.

Now I personally never noticed this bug, but in The Tortured Path section of Nazi Zombies in Across the Depths, zombies could get stuck here. If this has happened to you it won’t anymore as they have also fixed that. Weapons disappearing and making sure that the Jack In The Box actually works have also been fixed.

There are also some other smaller bugs that have been worked on, most of which many players will never event notice, but it is great to see the people at Sledgehammer Games keep working on the game to make sure when a bug does pop up it is squashed as soon as possible.

While many looks at Activision as one of the devils of gaming, you have to give them credit for allowing Sledgehammer Games to keep working on Call Of Duty WWII even though the focus in the company has switched to Black Ops IIII. Plus let’s face it the next COD game from Sledgehammer Games must be in the early development stages. So the fact they keep working on WWII is very commendable.

Final Week Of Call Of Duty WWII Liberty Strike Event

Final Week Of Call Of Duty WWII Liberty Strike Event

As I write this Liberty Strike which is the current Call Of Duty WWII community event is in its third and final week. The folks at Sledgehammer Games have done a tremendous job of giving us some great content since Call Of Duty WWII launched last year.

This final week sees the return of the Wanderlust Mosh Pit game mode which is a firm favorite of mine. This was the game mode for the first week and they are bringing it back. I really think that this is a game mode which should be part of the game all the time.

The Special Orders are between the 19th and 20th and require you to complete 40 matches which will get you a Sniper Bribe Reward. To get the Daily Order prize which is a Liberty Strike Bribe award you just need to play 30 matches which is very easy to do.

I think this event has been fun, but I do think that it comes across as Sledgehammer Games are running out of steam as it is not as balls to the wall as the other events have been. The best part of it has been the Wanderlust Mosh Pit game mode!

The Community Challenge is of course still running until the event closes on the 24th of July. If 260 million matches are played we will all get some really cool Liberty Strike rewards. Over the coming weekend, it is Party Up 2XP on all game modes so make sure you take full advantage of that.

I am really excited to see what the next community event will be for the game, but I have a feeling Activision may want to keep Call Of Duty WWII quite in the coming months so that all the attention is on Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII.

New Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Zombies Trailer Looks Incredible

New Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Zombies Trailer Looks Incredible!

The folks at Activision and Treyarch have dropped a new trailer for Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Zombies and it looks even more insane that I thought it was already going to be.

This new trailer focusses on two of the three missions that will be released when the game launches this October. IX and Voyage of Despair are showcased really well. Scarlett Rhodes is traveling through time to find out what happened to her father. She along with three other playable characters will need to take down hordes of the undead to stop the evil from spreading and also find out what happened to her dad.

I cannot stress enough how much you need to go and check out the new trailer. For me, the coolest thing by far happens in the IX scenario where there is a zombie tiger! I have seen zombie animals in games before, but they have never looked as scary, imposing and awesome as the zombie tiger in Black Ops 4. Another thing that looks cool in the IX scenario is this huge gladiator, I am assuming this dude is a boss and also that he is a zombie under his helmet.

Voyage of Despair looks like it is going to be quite challenging as I am sure the ship is going to be really tight in some places and if you let the undead get around you that you could be in some pretty big trouble.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 zombies is going to be more story driven than in previous years. It is said that it will have a proper tutorial mode, better weapon customization and a kind of horde mode for those who want their classic zombie's mode. I really do think this new zombies is going to help make up for the lack of a campaign in Black Ops 4.

Zombies World Championship 2 Is Happening This August

Zombies World Championship 2 Is Happening This August

Now here is an eSports championship that I can get behind! Last year Matt “Mcsportzhawk” Cobuzio who is a popular YouTuber was a co-founder of the first Call Of Duty Zombies world championship. It was a fun event that clearly had a lot of love put into it and for a first time event offered an impressive 20 grand prize pool.

Unfortunately, there was a last minute venue change and more than a few technical hiccups showed that this was a first time event. Still, it was fun and thanks to the popularity of Zombies in Call Of Duty we are getting a second event.

This time the event is being held in Orange County California at the eSports Arena. The production behind this year’s event is said to be much better. To be fair though those hiccups last year were probably down to the last minute venue change. As well as a proper eSports venue they also have a big time sponsor, Elgato Gaming. The prize pool has also been bumped up to 30 grand. In all this has all the makings for a really fun and intense event.

Last year all kinds of Zombies records were set so you can bet people will be trying again this year. The finalists will be a mixture of YouTube and Twitch streamers who play against regular joes who are classed as the online finalists. On the 3rd of August, the YouTube and Twitch streamers will play in a kind of semifinal to see who will get to play the online finalist in the finals on the 5th of August.

If you love Zombies this is well worth taking a closer look at. I think this is going to be a lot of fun and not too pretentious like some other eSports events have started to become.

Battlefield V Alpha Feedback

Battlefield V Alpha Feedback

I was not one of the chosen few where were lucky enough to be part of the Battlefield V alpha. Which makes me realize that I really need to pre order it, I have been meaning to do it for ages! Anyway, DICE have posted some pretty interesting feedback in regards to how the Battlefield V alpha went and what fixes they are working on before the beta in September.

The biggest issue that people seemed to have was how the game put them in a group. Some players would arrange to play together but have a hard time doing so or they would play together, but then the next match would have them no longer in a squad. This along with the location of the people they pair you up with is going to be fixed, hopefully in time for the beta.

As far as the actual gameplay goes, DICE did not really say a whole lot in regards to what is going to be worked on. Apparently in game reviews are pretty darn slow and that is something they are aware of and are going to try and fix. Ammo drops are said to be few and far between and this again is something DICE are aware of and are currently fixing.

From the sounds of it as far as an alpha goes it seems like there was not anything horribly wrong and those who were part of the Battlefield V alpha seemed to all have a good time.

Battlefield V is being released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this October. The beta is scheduled for September so keep an eye open for when that will be.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Beta News

Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Beta News

We have gotten used to having betas for Call Of Duty during the summer, but Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 is doing things a little differently as it is getting two different kinds of betas.

The first open beta that is taking place will first be available to PlayStation 4 players. This is taking place on the 3rd of August and will last for the whole weekend. The reason that PlayStation owner gets to play the Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 beta first is that there is still that exclusivity best buddies thing going on with Activision and Sony.

Xbox One and PC Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 players will get to take part in the open beta for Black Ops 4 on the 10th of August so it is only a week later. From what we know this beta is going to let players have some fun on two new maps as well as some that they will have already experienced before.

Then at some point in September, PlayStation 4 players are getting the chance to test out the Blackout mode. I have not been able to tell if the Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout mode beta is only going to be available for PlayStation owners or if it will come to Xbox and PC as well.

I am really looking forward to getting the chance to play some Call Of Duty Black Ops 4. This year’s game looks like it is going to be a ton of fun and I am actually already over the fact that there is no campaign.

Thoughts On The Battlefield 5 Campaign

Thoughts On The Battlefield V Campaign

It has been pretty well documented that Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII is ditching the campaign in favor for their new Blackout mode which is their take on Battle Royale. Well the folks at DICE have not forgotten about people who enjoy a single player campaign as Battlefield V will have one.

The Battlefield V campaign has not really released many details in terms of the actual story. What we do know is that it is going to feature “War Stories” which made up the Battlefield 1 campaign. So rather than there being one large story, Battlefield V will feature smaller stories that focus on different characters. I actually like the sound of this as it has been rumored that we will get to experience the war from all sides.

On the flip side of this, I have to say that Sledgehammer Games did a tremendous job with the Call Of Duty WWII campaign. Honestly, I freaking loved it, it was one of the best campaigns that they have done. I felt like I was in a World War II movie that was directed by Steven Spielberg, that is how good it was.

So while Activision is not bothering with a campaign this year, DICE and EA still have a lot to live up to with theirs after what Sledgehammer Games did last year. While I do not think that the Battlefield V campaign will be able to boast the same kind of roller coaster narrative that the Call Of Duty WWII one did. I do think that the way we will be playing as multiple characters from different places and parts of the war could make for a very fun campaign.

Does Zombies Make Up For The Lack Of A Campaign In Call Of Duty Black Ops 4

Does Zombies Make Up For The Lack Of A Campaign In Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII?

I have already talked about my thoughts on the Battlefield V campaign and the fact that Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII does not have one. However, I think that the new Zombies mode in Black Ops IIII is going to help deliver that story driven COD experience that some players like.

The reason I say this is because Zombies in Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII looks to have a pretty tight narrative. You play as one of four characters who are making their way through time to stop an evil organization taking over the world with their zombies. We know at launch we are getting the first three parts of this story which are. Voyage Of Despair which is set on a cruise ship, IX which is set during Roman times and Blood Of The Dead which is set in a prison. Three very different time periods and they all seem to be connected together via the story.

They have actually made it a point to mention that you can play Zombies on your own if you want, so this could make up for that lack of a single player campaign in many people’s eyes. Getting so much Zombies content at the start of the game is a first for the series, but I think it is a nice touch and actually one of the things that I am really looking forward to.

It has been said that we are getting four extra Zombies chapters as part of the Black Ops pass so I am very excited to see what time periods these will be set in.

I know that many people do not care about the single player in Call Of Duty, but I feel the last four, WWII, Infinite Warfare, Black Ops 4, and Advanced Warfare have been some of the best written and most fun first person shooter stories I have played through so it is a shame to see them get rid of it.

Call Of Duty WWII Wanderlust Mosh Pit Is Amazing, You Need To Play It

Wanderlust Mosh Pit Is Amazing, You Need To Play It

While the Call Of Duty WWII Liberty Strike community event may not be as robust as the previous events in terms of its contents. There is still some great loot up for grabs and best of all it has a new game mode that I kind of dismissed at first, but I am hooked on the Wanderlust Mosh Pit.

The way that Wanderlust Mosh Pit works is that you never know what weapon you are going to start with. Each and every player starts with a random weapon and when they die they will get a random weapon! There appears to be no rhyme or reason for the weapon selection and that can make it a fun, but also tense mode.

I have had a lot of fun with this when I get a weapon I am terrible with. I just go balls to the wall, try my best and if I get a kill or two great, if not I just pray I get something good next time. Playing this mode with buddies is such a good time! In a way, it reminds me of a game like Overwatch with its Mystery Heroes mode where you never know what to expect. Only this is just weapons and not actual characters.

What I love about the Wanderlust Mosh Pit is how fast the games go by. You never know what the hell is going to happen and when you get a weapon that you like it is very interesting in the way it makes you play. For me when I get a weapon I am good with. Rather than charging around the map like I would in a normal multiplayer game. I tend to be more timid and take my time as I am worried about losing the gun and getting something I suck with!

I know that for whatever reason, Liberty Strike is not being pushed as the previous Call Of Duty WWII events, but I really cannot recommend this game mode highly enough as it is so much fun.

Fortnite Season 5 What We Know About It So Far

Fortnite Season 5 What We Know About It So Far

Fortnite has become a cultural development and mega-hit for computer game developer Epic Games, with its one hundred twenty five million players round the world.

Fortnite Season 5 is sort of upon North American Nation and as was common the net has been berating with fan theories, plot leaks and data processing secrets.

Keen-eyed gamers have noticed objects showing and disappearing round the map leading several to believe that massive changes area unit on their manner.

These changes started when a June thirtieth rocket launch from the evil habitation close to clubby Shores unfoldednumerous cracks within the sky, and round the map. These cracks have solely become larger within the past few days, and currently cowl nearly the whole sky of the map.

All of those changes have given credence to fan theories, that Fortnite is ready for a large overhaul, with numerous areas of the map to be modified or replaced fully. These alterations area unit expected to follow an issue of your time travel or completely different time periods.

Playing Battlefield 1 Gives You DLC For Battlefield V

Playing Battlefield 1 Gives You DLC For Battlefield V

Look I will admit that when Call Of Duty WWII came on the scene I did not really play much Battlefield 1. This is going to change though as the folks at DICE and EA are running a cool promotion called, The Road To Battlefield V.

They have done this with previous Battlefield games and The Road To Battlefield V works in the same way. EA is going to be giving away free DLC for Battlefield 1 in the run-up to Battlefield V’s launch this October. So you can get the chance to play some of the DLC maps, use new weapons and so on. They are going to have different challenges each day for you to complete and in all, it is a great way to get a little extra life out of Battlefield 1 if you have not played it in a while.

The best thing about The Road To Battlefield V though is that some of the weekly rewards are DLC items for Battlefield V. Battlefield V is going to have Solider Sets and these are basically where you can customize your soldier. While the Deluxe Edition of Battlefield V is going to come with six soldier sets. Two bonus soldier sets are available as part of the Road To Battlefield V and this is the only way that you can get them. Soldier Sets are things like weapon skins, camo patterns and so on.

I for one have already jumped on board with The Road To Battlefield V and in all honesty, the best thing about this event is that it made me realize just how much fun Battlefield 1 is as I had not played it in a while. So if you are getting Battlefield V later this year and you still have Battlefield 1, you might as well take part in The Road To Battlefield V to get some exclusive Soldier Sets.

What Is The Best New Weapon In Call Of Duty WWII

What Is The Best New Weapon In Call Of Duty WWII?

As I write this I am patiently waiting for Activision to post what is going to be taking place during the second week of the Call Of Duty WWII Liberty Strike event. While most of us are focusing on the double XP, the rewards and of course the new game mode, Wanderlust Mosh Pit.

It is worth taking a moment to talk about how Sledgehammer Games have added four new weapons in with the Liberty Strike Event. While getting new weapons to play with is cool, you can get special Liberty Strike variants during the event. After the 24th of July, you can no longer get them so make sure you put in the work if you like the look of them.

AVS-36 Assault Rifle

To be honest with you I am not sure what to think about the AVS-36 Assault Rifle as from what I can tell it is not all that different from a standard assault rifle. That is not saying it is bad as there is nothing wrong with an assault rifle, but just do not see anything all that special here.

Push Knife

Wow, this thing is pretty damn evil, but at the same time, it looks really elegant. It is perfect if you want to pop open a bottle of wine and then sneak up on an enemy and shank them in the back. Out of all the melee weapons in the game for me, this one is the most evil looking.

ZK-383 SMG

Now, this is more like it. I freaking love this gun. I have a real soft spot for SMG’s and this one here is great. It may not be the most powerful gun in the game, but you can get in real close and thanks to the rapid-fire, take an opposing player down before they know what hit them. I will say that if your aim is off and you miss that you can end up dead if the enemy is a good shooter…… I am speaking from personal experience here!

De Lisle Sniper Rifle

This one I have not really played around with as I am not very good with sniper rifles. Actually, I flat out suck. But if you are a skilled sniper I am sure you will have a lot of fun with this.

How Many Players Will Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Battle Royale Support

How Many Players Will Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Battle Royale Support?

I must admit that over the past weekend I have spent most of my time trying to get as much done in the first week of the Call Of Duty Liberty Strikes as I can. Also, I have been doing some heavy grinding in Overwatch trying to get some loot boxes so I have currency saved up for when Wrecking Ball is released. However, I have been keeping an eye on the Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 news.

Of course, the big thing in Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 this year is Blackout mode which is their take on the very popular Battle Royale formula. While Activision and Treyarch have actually said quite a lot about it. One thing that was not made clear was just how many players Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout mode would support?

A screenshot of someone playtesting the game has been doing the rounds on social media and it lists the player count as 2 – 60. This is clearly quite a bit less than the 100 than some people were hoping for. Now neither Treyarch or Activision have come out and confirmed if this is the actual official number if 60 is just a placeholder while the game is being worked on or if the screenshot is fake. But the talk online is that it is legit.

I can see why some people would be disappointed if the player count is 60 and not 100. I for one do not mind at all and encourage you to be realistic in regards to Blackout mode. This is the first time Call Of Duty has attempted something like this so the developer must feel more comfortable with this number. They could always expand it at a later date and allow more players per game.

Battlefield V Launch Multiplayer Modes Revealed

Battlefield V Launch Multiplayer Modes Revealed

We are just a few months away from Battlefield V and some lucky folks are taking part in the alpha right now. Well, some eagle-eyed gamers have found out what multiplayer modes Battlefield V will have at launch.

What I find interesting about this is that clearly DICE are taking the battle they are going to have with Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII very serious as they are coming out swinging as Battlefield V is going to have eight multiplayer modes at launch.

Three of the multiplayer modes that will be available at the launch of Battlefield V will be brand new to the series. These have not yet been leaked, but one of these has to be their Battle Royale mode.

The five that have been revealed are Conquest, Domination, Breakthrough, Team Deathmatch, and Frontlines. These are all solid game modes and most likely for me, Team Deathmatch and Conquest will get the most playtime. However, I will say that there is clearly something for everyone here so no matter what you are into, Battlefield V is going to have it for you at launch. Plus there are also those three new game modes that are going to be available at launch too.

I have a bad feeling that Battlefield V is going to have a hard time standing up to Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII as it is not getting even half the attention that COD is. Still, it is great to hear so many positive things coming from the people playing the alpha and of course the news that it will be stacked with game modes on launch.

Call Of Duty WWII Liberty Strike Gear Is Awesome

Call Of Duty WWII Liberty Strike Gear Is Awesome

One of the weird things about me when it comes to Call Of Duty games is that while I love community events and getting new weapons is cool as it getting things like emblems and whatever. When it comes to gear, costumes or whatever you want to call them I have never really cared. However, as part of the Call Of Duty WWII Liberty Strike event, there are four new attires that look pretty darn awesome.

Airborne Independence Camo

The first one that I want to talk about is my favorite, the Airborne Independence Camo. I am writing this just after the fourth of July and I did watch Captain America Civil War and Independence day yesterday so maybe I am all “murica” at the moment. But this gear is awesome. I think that it does have a kind of Captain America military style to it and I love that.

Armored Independence Camo

The armored division is getting a really cool UK inspired set of gear and I like it. There is a Union Jack hat along with a Union Jack on the actual chest of the shirt which is kind of cool. The pants are a little over the top with their Union Jack theme, but I do kind of dig it. It reminds me of the wrestler The British Bulldog which I know is a weird reference to make, but hey it is what it is.

Mountain Independence Camo

Ok, so this one I think they were going for a Canada vibe…. I could be way off here, but it is red and white and they do have a lot of mountains in Canada..eh? In all seriousness, though I really like this it is probably the most basic looking of the new gear, but I wonder if the red will make you easy to spot in a match?

Cavalry Independence Camo

I am still having a lot of fun playing as the Cavalry class so this is one I really want to use. I am not really sure what they were going for here. The bullet chains and the what I think is a cape make this look like an old-school superhero. If I am honest I think this one here may be my least favorite of the bunch.

Liberty Strike Is Call Of Duty WWII’s Latest Event

Liberty Strike Is Call Of Duty WWII’s Latest Event!

The folks at Sledgehammer Games just keep on giving as we have a new Call Of Duty WWII event, Liberty Strike that just went live the other day.

The first week of this event which runs to the 9th of July will bring with it a new game mode, Wanderlust Mosh Pit. This sounds pretty crazy as each time you spawn in the weapons and attachments you get will be random. I must admit, I have had a lot of fun with this so far and part of the fun is being worried about what the heck the game is going to give me!

The daily order for this week is to just play 30 matches which is pretty easy and doing so will earn you a Liberty Strike Bribe Reward which is pretty cool.

There are also Zombie Contracts and from what I can tell these are running all the way until the end of the event which is on the 24th of July. The Zombie Contracts are,

Complete The Nazi Zombie Prologue

Get 500 Kills In Nazi Zombies

Open 20 Doors In Nazi Zombies

Defeat The Panzermorder On The Final Reich Map

I do not think that any of these are that tough, maybe the opening 20 doors, but that is only if you are the kind of player who tends to wait for others to do that…. Like me. What I have been doing is making it a point to open at least two doors each time I play Nazi Zombies. Also getting those 500 kills is a heck of a lot easier than it sounds.

I think that Call Of Duty WWII: Liberty Strike is going to be a lot of fun and it is really cool that we have gotten another community event so soon after the last one.

What Are Some Of The Best Call Of Duty Consoles

What Are Some Of The Best Call Of Duty Consoles?

I have talked about what my favorite Call Of Duty games are before, but today I thought I would do something a little different and that is look at the best Call Of Duty consoles!

Call Of Duty is a game that has been packed in with consoles for many years now. Sometimes it is just the standard console and others there is a really cool special edition console made for the bundle. So today, as there is not a whole lot of news around I, thought I would share with you guys my thoughts on the best Call Of Duty console.

Call Of Duty Black Ops III: PlayStation 4

The best of the best has to be this exclusive PlayStation 4 console that was part of the Call Of Duty Black Ops III bundle. This thing is awesome! The black and the orange go really well together and I think I would actually go as far as saying that this is my favorite special edition PlayStation 4 that has been released so far. As well as the console it came with a really cool looking control pad that is grey and has an orange dpad and orange thumbsticks.

Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare: Xbox One

While this is the original Xbox One (the big bulky one) I still love the design of this special edition console that was released for Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare. It is half black and half grey and I think it looks awesome. There is some really smart detailing on the black section of the console and I also love the gold trim where the Blu-ray drive is. They also gave you a special edition controller that is also gray and has a lot of detailing on it and it is finished off nicely with a little bit of gold.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3: Xbox 360

There was also a special edition console for Modern Warfare 2, but I think the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 special edition Xbox 360 console is way cooler. What I like about this is that it looks like a piece of tech that has been pulled out of a war-torn area. It looks kind of dirty and scratchy and fits in with the theme of the game perfectly. Also, they gave you two controllers in this bundle and both of them had that same kind of messy, scratchy and dirty look.

Call Of Duty WW2 The Tortured Path Dlc Pack

Call Of Duty WW2 The Tortured Path Dlc Pack

Over the current weekend, I finally had a chance to put the latest Call Of Duty WW2 DLC pack. United Front through its paces. What I was most looking forward to in this DLC pack was the latest chapter in the Nazi Zombies saga, The Tortured Path.

For The Tortured Path, things are a little different. It is pretty heavily story driven as we drive to a conclusion to the story. But it is the way the chapter is set out that took me by surprise. Instead of one large area, The Tortured Path is split up into three very different section.

The first part is pretty standard, you are outside and there are different buildings, vehicles and so on that are in the way and there for cover that you can use. The second chapter though is on a boat and to be honest, it looks fantastic. I only have a standard PS4 so I would love to see how much sharper it looks on a Playstation 4 Pro.

The final part of the chapter is this weird ice cavern and it is brutal. The zombies have a ton of different areas that they can swarm in through. The first two chapters were just a lot of fun, but the final one in the ice cavern really did make me sweat and was super tense. So much so that I kind of wish the other two chapters were as hard as this one was.

Each of the three chapters requires you to do various objectives like open up a valve, stop a certain zombie or protect something and so on and there is also boss zombies that you need to defeat. I think they did a great job and I actually would go as far to say that this is my favorite part of Nazi Zombies so far.

While this is only available for Ps4 owners right now, United Front and it’s awesome The Tortured Path will be available for Xb1 And PC in the coming weeks. Which I am very excited about as I have an Xbox One so I am interested to see how much better this looks on there as so far this is visually the most striking entry in the Nazi Zombies saga.
