Ok so maybe it did not break internet but the release of the Fortnite Battle Royal iOS Pilot Program sign up has caused problems and brought the official site down to its knees!
I have an iPad so I did try and get on, as did my son who has an iPhone, but neither of us had any luck in getting the site to load. There must be a ton of people looking to sign up for this and it is no wonder why as Fortnite Battle Royal is one of the biggest free to play games in years.
We all knew it would be popular on mobile but to this degree? I am not so sure. It is a pure lottery system if you get to take part. Epic has said that it is going to be pure luck on if you get accepted to take part or not. Do not worry if like me, you could not get on right away as they have said that more invites will be sent out at a later date.
While all the focus is on the iOS version of Fortnite Battle Royal, it is worth noting that in the coming months it is also going to be coming to Android mobile devices. Which I think is very interesting as Android is very easy to hack so it will be intriguing to see what the community there will be like.
Epic has said that the Fortnite that we will be playing on our mobile devices is the same Fortnite that we have been enjoying on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. What I am most interested to see is just how well the game will translate to touchscreen controls.
Should Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Have A Battle Royal Mode?
As I am always on the hunt for news on what is coming in the world of Call Of Duty, I was pretty blown away by what I have read today and that is the possibility of a battle royal mode coming to Call Of Duty!
We all know that and are killing it right now, these games not only have millions of people playing them, but they are the most popular games on Twitch right now.
Well according to they are very aware of this and have an eye on the Battle Royal genre. This was said to a group of investors. Now to be fair they did not come out and say that there is the talk of adding a Battle Royal mode to Call Of Duty Black Ops 4, but unless they have some new IP that we do not know of, what other game from could possibly have a Battle Royal mode in 2018?
I may be reading a lot into this, but like most companies love money and they know that right now the money train is Battle Royal modes. I think adding a Battle Royal style game mode to Call Of Duty Black Ops would be a great idea. Maybe it would not be ready at launch and to be honest I do not feel that they would need it, but as an update, released after the holiday rush of sales, I think it could shift a ton more copies of the game!
Who knows, may even decide to have a Call Of Duty Battle Royal free to play game in the same style as .. that would be huge!
