Call of Duty Black Ops 4 has been a runaway success, one of the best received Call of Duty games in quite some time. Before the game launched there was a lot of talk that as well as PC, Xbox One and PS4, Nintendo Switch would also be seeing some Black Ops 4 action.

Of course, the official reveal came and there was no mention of a Nintendo Switch version and people kind of forgot about it. Until a few weeks ago when during an interview a big wig at Activision directly laughed when asked the question about Call of Duty Black Ops 4 on the Nintendo Switch.

Of course, the Switch is far more powerful than many of us thought it would be so having a game like Call of Duty on there is not out of the question. Whether or not that game would be Black Ops 4 would be up for debate.

With all of the positive vibes, updates and so on that Black Ops 4 has gotten since it launched back in October. There has not been any more mention of the series coming to the Nintendo Switch. There were rumblings back in September, but then nothing again.

Would Activision make a whole new Call of Duty game from scratch for the Nintendo Switch? That would take a lot of money and resources so it would be hard to imagine them doing that. They did though greatly support the Nintendo Wii and even the Wii U (although they dropped it rather quick) so they have done it before. Perhaps they would make one of the older COD games, WWII or perhaps even Infinite Warfare and release that on the Nintendo Switch?

While the world is in love with Call of Duty Black Ops 4 right now after the holiday rush has happened no doubt people will be asking about it coming to the Switch again.

The folks at DICE are really trying their hardest with Battlefield V. However, it feels like for everything they fix or say they are going to fix something else is brought up that needs attention.

On the official DICE Twitter, a core gameplay designer called Florian Le Bihan had some interesting things to say about the Time to Kill and Time to Die aspects of Battlefield V. It was actually very interesting to read and the more you dive into it the more you realize how interesting this part of a first person shooter is.

Time to Kill is how long it takes you to kill an opponent and Time to Die is how long it takes you to die after an attack. Of course, the skill level of the players involved make getting this down to an exact science seem near impossible. Also, in theory, the times for these should be exactly the same, but it does not always feel like that to both players. For example, for the player who has died it can feel like they were killed super-fast, but to the attacking player, this may not be the case. This is due to latency issues or even the netcode.

DICE though are working on it and taking it very seriously. It is actually one of the more interesting things I have heard that they are working on. I am not saying that I have had an issue with this part of the game, but at the same time, it is not actually something I have given much thought to before. It shows just how complex it can be for a studio to make a competitive first person shooter that feels fair to everyone who is playing.

Treyarch Change The Way You Climb In Black Ops IIII

Now here is a change to Black Ops IIII that I did not even know that people wanted. Not only that apparently this is something many people have wanted for years, I am talking about climbing up onto things and platforms. Or if you want to get technical “mantle”.

This was part of the big update that Treyarch did on Black Ops IIII last week. As we all know when you play Call of Duty, you run and gun then when you come to an area you want to climb up to or a box, ledge or something you need to get over. You press the button you jump over it or you climb up to it and you are good to go.

Some people thought have said that this automated system that has been part of the game since the dawn of time is restrictive. I never really gave it any thought, but I watched a few videos of people who are happy with this update and I can see where they are coming from. The new Auto Mantle toggle that you can select allows those like me to play the game as they have always done.

However, for those players who want that extra bit of control, they can now have it. Instead of automatically jumping up or over each thing. You now have to press it twice to fully jump over or climb up. It is the kind of thing that is rather tricky to actually describe. It is a change that is fantastic as it is not being forced on the community. Those who are fine with the way things have been for years can keep it that way. Those who want that extra bit of control now have it.

Doom Eternal: Playing As A Demon

One of the games I am very excited for in 2019 (I really hope it is coming out in 2019!) is Doom Eternal. The sequel to the incredible 2016 reboot of Doom. Not a ton of information has been given to us and the last bit of footage we saw was at QuakeCon a few months ago.

Still, Doom Eternal is a game that I really cannot wait for. There are two things that have really piqued my interest. The first one is that they have said they are going to really expand the lore and get more in-depth with the story. The story in Doom was actually fantastic and way better than most people thought it would be so it is going to be very interesting to see where they go with this.

The other aspect is multiplayer. I am not just talking the regular multiplayer that we have played before. Doom Eternal is adding a new mode where you can actually play as one of the demons! The idea is that you play as a demon and then go into one of your friend's campaigns and hunt them down! This sounds awesome and something similar to what the Dark Souls games have done. Even crazier is that more than one “demon” can enter a players game.

This sounds like a really cool mechanic and if it does not sound like it is for you I am sure you will be able to turn it off. I plan on having a lot of fun with this and playing as a messed up demon with razor sharp claws and some real firepower is certainly something I can get on board with.

Call Of Duty Fans Not Happy With Fall Firearms Special Order

Treyarch and Activision have done so much right with Call of Duty Black Ops IIII that it really sucks to have to look at something negative about the game. Well, Microtransactions are a part of gaming, we can accept that. But many Black Ops IIII players are not happy with the latest special order that has been released.

It is called the Fall Firearms Special Order and it works in a similar way to a Fortnite Battle Pass where you need to move up tiers to unlock some cool new cosmetics. Cosmetics that in all fairness do not impact gameplay. What is not fair is the price for these which is 2000 COD Points which is 20 bucks!

So you pay your 20 bucks to be part of this Fall Firearms Special Order, but once you get that first cosmetic which is the Divinity Skin for the Starfire Pistol. You then have to go on one hell of a grind in order to get the next one. The Street Skin for the Carbon Cobra is going to require a whole lot of your time and this is what has annoyed many players. They are asking you to play an extra 20 bucks, but then the amount of time you have to spend grinding to get these items feels like a bit of a slap in the face.

To be fair, you do not actually need these skins as they are purely cosmetic, but why are they charging people 20 bucks for something like this? If this was a free event that too a ton of grinding to unlock the items then fair enough, but it comes across as a real cash grab. I for one will not be paying any money for events like this as I just do not see the value in them at all. If you play other games as well, you probably simply do not have the time to do this!

Battlefield V Is Out Now

Sure the release date was confusing as hell, but I have spent the last couple of days putting some serious time into Battlefield V and I wanted to share my thoughts on the game.

I have talked a lot about how most of the gaming media are happy with how things have started with Battlefield V. I was not the biggest fan of the beta, but I do think that Battlefield V is a solid first person shooter after spending more than a few hours with it.

You get a campaign and a solid multiplayer experience out of the box and of course, Battle Royale is coming next year. I have dabbled a little in the campaign and I have enjoyed it so far. DICE always bring the sky high production values and so far from the chapter or two I have played it is well made, but it is not the most interesting story I have ever played. Especially when you consider how good Call of Duty WWII was last year. Still, it has the potential to get better and I will finish it.

The multiplayer has been a blast, I was actually a little surprised at how fast paced it was for a Battlefield game. I have been finding myself saying “just one more game” and then an hour later still be playing it. The game does have a few “technical “issues, but it is not been anything that has made me mad, have to reset the PS4 or anything like that. However, I have heard that some people have had a few issues with the game crashing or running not too great.

I think Battlefield V is a lot of fun and while it is not perfect, it is a game that I plan on putting a lot more time into. I am very interested to see how DICE are going to improve this as the year goes on and they, of course, are finishing off the campaign in December.

What Is New In Black Ops 4

Treyarch has taken to social media to announce some cool additions to Call of Duty Black Ops 4 that are coming this week.

First of all is the little map that is known as Nuketown. Many of us have been very excited for Nuketown to arrive in Call of Duty Ops 4 when it was announced as one of the maps. Well, chances are by the time you read this, Nuketown could be live so get in there and have some fun.

For a very short time, Treyarch is bringing back Quad Feed. This is great if you want a serious XP boost. The biggest gain, if you ask me during Quad Feed, is the 2X XP that you will get for multiplayer and zombies mode as well as the 2X Tier boost that is for Blackout and multiplayer mode. This is only going to be running until the 25^th of November so take advantage of it while you can.

While PlayStation 4 owners have been able to have fun blasting Zombies away in Blackout mode on Nuketown Island. PC and Xbox One gamers are now able to get in on the action too as the Zombies virus has been spread and is hitting Xbox One and PC. This is a lot of fun and makes Blackout mode even tenser and it is something that I actually hope stays in the game full time.

Treyarch has been doing an awesome job with Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and it is great to see them adding more fun content to the game on such a quick and consistent basis.

PlayStation 4 Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Bundle Is Disappointing

We all know that Activision is well and truly on the Sony train this console generation and to be fair as they are the market leader it makes sense. Well, I did touch on this the other day, but Activision and Sony have announced that the week after Black Friday their PlayStation 4 Call of Duty Black Ops IIII bundle is going to be released.

While this sounds cool and past PlayStation 4 COD bundles have been awesome. This one here is very lazy. To be fair, we have had some fantastic PlayStation 4 redesigns the last couple of years. The God of War one, Spider-Man, Uncharted 4 and Arkham Knight all pop into mind. Not only that, Call of Duty has had some excellent bundles as well. The Call of Duty Black Ops III PlayStation 4 console is still one of the best looking PS4’s they have done. It is black and orange and so is the controller.

Last year they made a really neat camo style one for Call of Duty WWII. As well as the console having a camo design so did the controller and while not exactly my cup of team, I can appreciate the effort. The Black Ops IIII bundle though is your bog standard PlayStation 4!

Now to be fair this is a 1 TB model and as the current RRP is around 300 bucks it does actually work out that you are getting the game for free so as far as money goes, this is one hell of a sweet deal. Still though with how much effort they have put into past Call of Duty console bundles, you do feel that they phoned this one in. To be fair it is not just Call of Duty as they are also having a Red Dead Redemption II bundle and that one is also using a standard black PS4.

In case you did not know or were confused thanks to the three different release dates! Battlefield V fully releases on November 20^th. I was not exactly blown away by the beta for Battlefield V and neither were a lot of other people.

However, I kept my pre-order (just the standard edition) and I am looking forward to it being delivered on Tuesday….. as long as Amazon does not screw it up of course! Now thanks to the less than stellar beta, the changed release date and of course the fact that many folks will have already spent their money and time on Red Dead Redemption II and Call of Duty Black Ops IIII. I really want to encourage you fellow shooter fans not to dismiss Battlefield V.

So far it is getting great reviews with many people loving the single player campaign, even though DICE have more to add to it in December. Not only this the multiplayer is far more fun than the beta showed and people are loving the new maps and also how fantastic the game looks. The launch of Battlefield V has been well received there has been a fair bit of talk about some bugs and roughness in the multiplayer, but DICE will iron these out.

I have a bad feeling that of all the huge games released this holiday season, Battlefield V is going to be the one that many people overlook and decide to miss. I think that those of us who love the kind of squad and class-based shooter action Battlefield V has are going to really have an awesome time with this one.

To be fair I do not think the way Microtransactions and the tiers system that Black Ops IIII has is that unfair. Sure the grind can be pretty brutal if you do not want to spend money, but is this any different from a game like Fortnite? Look at the mess that was Star Wars Battlefront II last year, I do not think Black Ops IIII is anywhere near that kind of level. On the PlayStation 4 Call of Duty Black Ops IIII recently got a pretty hefty update. The update did tweak and fix many things, but the one thing that has gotten many in the community excited is that Ajax has been given a pretty heavy duty nerf.

Ajax (not the one from Deadpool, the cleaning product or the Dutch football team) was very overpowered. His 9 Bang Flash was annoying as hell to get hit with. Now though the effect has been vastly shortened. Also, that super annoying ballistic shield does not have the accuracy that it once did. Also as well as Nerfing Ajax, Treyarch have made him easier to counter.

When you have a shooter that has characters like Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege or of course Call of Duty Black Ops IIII. The developers are always going to have to tweak things because it is not until people get more skilled at the game you can tell what characters are unfairly overpowered. In the right hands, Ajax was very annoying to come across and it got to the point when it was not fun when someone was running around as him.

I think that this was the right nerf to do at first. You have to wonder what other tweaks Treyarch will make and if they will add things to certain characters over time to make some of the weaker ones actually stand a chance during battle. This is a pretty substantial update so be sure to read all the patch notes if you want to know exactly what has been fixed. Oh and there is also the little fact that Nuketown is part of this update!!!!!

Sony And PUBG Are Joining Forces

I am not the biggest PUBG fan in the world if I am honest. I bought the game for Xbox One, but to be fair I have never really given it the fair chance that it deserves.

PUBG has been well and truly kicked into second place by Fortnite Battle Royale and you could even make the argument that it could be heading into third place thanks to Call of Duty Black Ops IIII’s Blackout mode. Anyway, PUBG is finally going to show up on the PlayStation 4 on December 7^th and it is pretty cool to see it appear on the PS4.

The most notable thing about the release of PUBG on the PlayStation 4 is that in order to entice PlayStation owners to give PUBG a chance they are offering a couple of cool pre-order bonuses that are sure to tug at those Sony heartstrings. If you pre-order the game you will get an outfit from the Uncharted series. This means you can dress your character up like Nathan Drake and that is pretty cool. The other pre-order item is a backpack, but this is no normal backpack it is the same one that Ellie from the Last of Us wore. This is a pretty obscure pre-order bonus, but that is what I love about it.

PUBG is going to have it tough on the PS4. By the time it is released, many people will be hooked on Blackout and of course there are already millions of Fortnite Battle Royale players who are playing that game for free. I think it is going to be very interesting to see just how well PUBG does on PS4 when it is released on December 7^th.

As I write this Call of Duty Black Ops IIII has been out for a full month. In years past Call of Duty and many other first person shooters have had rocky starts to their life and required many patches, fixes and so on. Treyarch got Black Ops IIII right and they did it right at the start.

Now I know that the game had that monster of a day one patch to deal with, but to be fair that happened the same time you install the game. So it is not like you installed it, played it for a week and then had to do that patch.

I think that the first month of Black Ops IIII has been smoother than many other games in the Call of Duty series. Treyarch had clearly worked very hard on this game and I think that the Zombies, Blackout and the general multiplayer were all ready to rock and roll right away. Sure they have made little fixes and tweaks here and there. However, I do not think anyone can look at Call of Duty Black Ops IIII and say that its launch was a mess or that it was no ready (again the huge day one patch may disagree with this) as it has been solid since the first game I have played.

While I will be honest and say that I do actually miss the campaign. I like what is here. Zombies is fantastic and I am loving the new story that they have used with IX and Voyage of Despair. Blackout I have to say is a million times better than I actually thought it would be and I think that the games are really fun. Then you have the standard multiplayer which I will be honest and say, thanks to Blackout I have kind of neglected. But the few matches of Team Deathmatch I have played have been great.

The only issue I have had since launch was the time it took to get into a game and even then that was not horrible. I think that Treyarch has more than delivered on Call of Duty Black Ops IIII and I am genuinely excited for the first big update the game gets to see what they have in store for us next.

Fired Treyarch Tester Spills The Beans On Black Ops 4

Ok so please take this with a grain of salt, but the guys Reddit account was deleted after he told “sensitive” information about Call of Duty Black Ops 4. The person in question as a QA tester before they were fired from the company.

He spilled the beans on all of the secrets that the Zombies mode in Black Ops 4 has. For example, he gave away the steps of the Viking Boat in the IX map and also told the purpose of the engine room valves on the boat in Voyage of Despair to name a couple of mysteries and secrets he spilled. I for one will not be looking at these as I hope to figure it out by myself. What is interesting is that this guys “tips” have been proven to be real.

For me, though it is not these secrets and mysteries that he has spoiled which caught my attention. It was his comments about what was originally intended for Call of Duty Black Ops 4. He states that Treyarch was actually working on a full campaign like past COD games have, but it was during development in 2017 that they decided to dump the campaign. What is interesting is that he states it was going to be a 2 v 2 co-op campaign which does sound very interesting.

He also made the claim that Treyarch does not care when Black Ops 4 crashes for regular joes like you and me, but only for popular streamers!

There was a lot of venom in his post and he was clearly mad at being fired by Treyarch, which I cannot comment on as I do not know the facts. However, I do find the fact that he knows about these mysteries to validate his claims. I would love to know though if this 2 v 2 co=op campaign was actually something that they were working on.

Early Battlefield V Reports Are Very Promising

I was very critical of the weird way in which EA is rolling out Battlefield V. However for those of you who are Origin Premium or EA Access members, you very well could have put some serious time into the game already.

Battlefield V did not have the best beta in the world and the fact that EA moved the date and with Black Ops IIII being so well received. Let’s be honest and say that things did not exactly look all rosy for Battlefield V.

However, IGN, Kotaku and other top gaming sites have put some early reviews and thoughts up and they are very, very positive. IGN, in particular, had a lot to say about the campaign and despite it not being finished until December they were very positive about it and appeared to have a lot of fun with it. Early reports also indicate that the game is running great and multiplayer is an absolute blast!

I am very happy to hear this and as I cheeped out I will have to wait for the regular release on the 20^th to play Battlefield V. Still it is great to see that after the somewhat rocky beta and their very odd way of releasing the game that DICE once again have shown why they are expert craftsmen and women when it comes to first person shooters. I like many others still think that Battlefield V is not going to sell as well as some of the other huge Triple-A games that have been released this holiday season. But I really do not care about that, Battlefield V looks like it is going to be a lot of fun and I hope that the good word of mouth is going to continue and more and more people are going to give it a chance.

Battlefield V Has A Day One Patch

It should come as no surprise that Battlefield V is going to have a day one patch. This is the case for pretty much very Triple-A title these days so none of us expected Battlefield V to be any different.
Those of you who are playing Battlefield V on PC and have a Prime EA Origin Membership can play the game from the 9th of November. Those who are on Xbox One and have an EA Access account can also play the game, but only for ten hours. Actually, PC players who just have the basic EA Origin Membership get to play for ten hours too.
The day one patch is looking to be around 7GB which in comparison to other big games (I am looking at you Call of Duty Black Ops IIII!) is not bad at all. This patch can be actually downloaded as part of the pre-load if you are on PC right now, which is something I would recommend that you do so you can start playing Battlefield V as soon as possible.
The pre-load information for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is not actually out there as I write this, but I would assume it will be just before the full November 20th release date. Of course, those who are getting the Deluxe Edition on the 15th will probably be able to do it in the days before that.
As far as day one patches go, 7GB is not really much at all. Of course, it would be great if we lived in a world where games were ready to rock and roll right out of the box. The fact of the matter is day one patches are a thing and this one here is not as bad as many of us were expecting.

Looking At The Best Shotguns Of Black Ops IIII

I love using shotguns in first person shooters! There is nothing more fun than coming around a corner and BAM you take the enemy down with one shot. So far Call of Duty Black Ops IIII is not exactly stacked with shotguns, but there are a couple that I want to take a closer look at today.

While most of us use shotguns as a way to get a one hit kill when we are up close and personal with the enemy. Today we are looking a little deeper into the stats of the currently available shotguns. Hopefully, the guys and gals at Treyarch are working hard on adding some more shotguns to Call of Duty Black Ops IIII.

Mog 12: The Mog 12 looks very badass, but it is also the most powerful of the shotguns available right now. The base and head damage is 150 plus! This means that it only takes one headshot and one body shot to kill an opponent when you are at close range. It is an instant kill and a truly devastating weapon in the right hands. Of course getting close enough to get the one hit kill is the real challenge of using this.

SG12: This shotgun still packs a punch, but the SG12 is not as powerful as the Mog 12. The headshot damage is 150 plus which of course means that it is an instant one hit kill when nice and close. The body damage though is 112 which means that it takes two hits to kill your opponent.

Best SMG's In Call of Duty Black Ops IIII

You cannot have a Call of Duty game without some kickass SMG’s. Well Call of Duty Black Ops IIII is no different. I love an SMG and feel that they are the kind of gun that is great if you are a run and gun style of player.

Looking at the stats for these SMG’s was rather interesting as in all honesty it is not until you dive really deep into the stats that you see the small differences between each one.

Saug 9mm: I would put this one at the top of the list, but only just. Base damage is 28 and head damage is 30. 5 headshots are required for a kill and 6 body shots are what you need to do if you are not a skilled marksman. The reason I put this one top is that the speed of it means that the time it takes to kill when you are hitting the body is .032 seconds. This is the fastest of all the SMG’s.

Spitfire: The Spitfire has a head damage of 29 and body damage of 27. It does take 6 body shots to kill an opponent and also 6 headshots. What makes me like this though is that the speed of the gun makes it so it only takes 0.34 seconds to kill a guy. Even with the extra headshot required the speed means it only takes 0.34 seconds with six headshots.

Cordite: This gun has a headshot damage of 30 and a body damage of 28. 5 body shots and 6 headshots are what you need to hit in order to take a guy down. The time to kill for body shots is 0.44 seconds which is a hair quicker than the ones I have not put on this list.

There really is not a whole lot in it when it comes to the SMG’s in Black Ops IIII. However, the quicker rate of the Saug 9mm makes it the one to pick for me.

The Best Sniper Rifle in Call of Duty Black Ops IIII

Paladin HB50: With 140 base damage and 150 plus head damage this gun is a monster in the right hands. Only two body shots to kill and it is instant death with a headshot. It can be a little slow on the reload, but if you hit a headshot that does not matter.

Outlaw: Now some would say the Paladin is the way to go, but if you look at the stats of the Outlaw. It has 150 plus head damage and is an instant kill with a headshot. However, it has less body damage at 110. The reload rate though is quicker so death by two body shots is actually considerably quicker with this gun. But if you are a sniper, you are playing for the headshot so does it really matter?

SDM: You might have expected me to put the Koska here as it is an instant kill with a headshot, but I think the SDM is the better weapon for a sniper. I say that because while it is a two hit kill for a headshot the kill time for body shots is only 0.42 so if you like playing as a sniper, but cannot always get the headshot, this could be the gun for you.

The Best LMG's and Assault Rifles In Cod Black Ops IIII

I have been having a blast playing Black Ops IIII. While I have been enjoying actually playing the game I have also had a lot of fun getting into the community more and delving deeper into the game. For example, I have found it very interesting looking at the stats for the different weapons in the game.

I am more of a run and gun style player so I thought I would start by taking a look at the LMG’s and rifles that Call of Duty Black Ops IIII has to offer.

VKM 750: This is the most powerful weapon in this class and it is an LMG. It has the highest base damage and headshot damage. The base damage is 62 and the headshot damage is 68. This means that it takes three shots no matter where you hit to kill your opponent.

Titan: This is another LMG and the second most powerful. The base damage is 46 and the headshot damage is 59. So three headshots will take a guy down and four body shots will take them down. While it is not the most powerful, I actually really like this weapon and thanks to being quicker than the VKM 750 I actually think it is a better gun.

Rampart 17: Now if you ask me the Rampart 17 is the best assault rifle in the game so far. It has a base damage of 46, headshot damage of 50 and the fastest time to kill (with a headshot) of any gun in this class. Four body shots and three headshots are what is needed to kill an enemy.

These are just three of the weapons in this category. I know that the VKM 750 has the most power behind it, but I really do prefer the Titan as it is faster.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Gets Big Update

Treyarch was very active on the Black Ops IIII sub-Reddit letting us know what is in store for the big November 9th update.

There is a ton to talk about so if you want all the details head over there to see it, but here are a few of the things that grabbed my attention.

First of all in regards to Blackout mode they have taken out the super overpowered 9 Bang Flash Grenade. I hate this thing! I have never actually found one to use, but I have been hit with it a ton of times.

You know the creepy as hell Blightfather? Well, the Blightfather has been taken away from IX and put into Blackout mode! He is hanging around the graveyard that is south of the Asylum. He is no pushover, but if you can take him down you will be very well rewarded. This is a special event and it is available on PC, Xbox One and PS4. No word on how long the Blightfather will be hanging around the graveyard for so take him on while you have the chance.

Some new Blackout Character missions have also been added as part of this updated. The Black Ops 4 Chaos thing is pretty cool. Treyarch has also said that there is now an increased chance that you can play as Diego, Scarlett, Bruno or Shaw.

Zombies mode has also had some work done, but as far as I can tell the work that is done is to make the game run smoother which I am happy for. Hopefully, it will also make starting a game a much quicker process.

Sony And PUBG Are Joining Forces

I am not the biggest PUBG fan in the world if I am honest. I bought the game for Xbox One, but to be fair I have never really given it the fair chance that it deserves.

Call of Duty App Is Actually Really Cool

I downloaded the Call of Duty companion app when it was released last week, but only the last couple of days have I actually used it. It is actually way more fun than I thought it would be and if you play a lot of Call of Duty Black Ops IIII and are interested in how you are doing, this is a great way to do that.

One thing that is worth mentioning is that this app is not just for Call of Duty Black Ops IIII. It also works with Call of Duty WWII which is really cool and great if you still play both games.

The idea of the app is that it tracks all of your stats. Activision has said that it will track every bullet you shoot so it gets really in depth with the stat tracking. You will get a report each week on how you have done and it will even give you tips on ways that you can improve which is neat.

One thing that I really like is how you can link your app with your buddies so you can track their stats too. You can actually form a squad which is you do you guys than then take part in weekly objectives which will earn you some rewards. Activision has said that there may be some actual real world rewards that will be available for those that use the app as well.

If you love playing Call of Duty Black Ops IIII (or even if you are still hooked on WWII) it is well worth your time downloading the Call of Duty companion app. It is 100 percent free and is available for both Android and iPhone.

People Are Not Happy With The Black Ops IIII Grind

It is fair to say that so far, Call of Duty Black Ops IIII has had a fantastic launch. I have not really heard anyone say anything negative about the game… until now.

Kotaku posted a very interesting article about the grind that is required in order to get all of the stuff from the first Contraband Steam. Of course, the Contraband Stream is the Black Ops version of the tiers that Fortnite has. Where you move up tiers and as you do you will earn new items such as character skins, face paint, emotes and so on. It is a fun way to be rewarded for just playing the game.

However, the dark side of this is that you can move up tiers by spending real world money, just like you can in Fortnite. Kotaku though has done the math and realized that it is one heck of a grind to get all of the items that the Contraband Steam has to offer. There are 200 tiers for you to move up through which is great it certainly keeps you busy. It lasts for 50 days, but it works out that it takes roughly one hour to move up just one tier. This means that you will have to play for around four hours each day in order to make it all the way up to the 200th tier. They have speculated that this grind is there to try and entice you into spending real world money.

I would think that after the nightmare the folks at EA and DICE had with their progression system last year in Battlefront II that Activision would want to avoid something like this. At the same time though is what they are doing any different than what Fortnite does?

More Zombies Tips For Black Ops 4

I have already posted a blog with some Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Zombies tips. But as have put a lot more time into the game, I do have some extra tips that I think will help you guys survive the hordes of undead that want to have you for lunch.

It Is Dangerous To Go Alone

I have played a lot of Zombies and in previous games, if you were good enough you could actually run off on your own and survive for quite a while. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Zombies mode is the hardest to date and a huge part of that is the layout of the maps along with the sheer number of zombies that it throws at you. As the maps are larger, if you get into trouble and need reviving a fellow player could be a long way from you and have no chance of getting to you in time.

It is always best to stay close together if you can until all hell breaks loose and you each run in your own direction of course. But trying to stay together as much as you can will make your chances of survival much higher.

Pick Your Guns Wisely

Just the other day I posted what I felt were the best guns in Call of Duty Black Ops 4 for Zombies mode, but I really want to stress how important gun selection is. Picking the right gun and then heading to the Pack a Punch station as soon as you can is key to survival. Some guns I am sure are put in this mode just to screw with you! Any gun that has a slow reload time is basically a death sentence as you get to the harder waves.

What Sidearm Should You Use In Black Ops IIII

I know some folks who simply do not care about their sidearm in Call of Duty, but I have had my butt saved more than a few times by whipping out my sidearm. When my main ammo is gone and managing to pop off a few good shots can get me a kill or just give me a second to run away and get my bearings. Having the right sidearm can be very important and that is what we are looking at today.
